e-manet is a resource provided by the Anatolian Christian community for the purpose of effecting the process described in 2 Timothy 2:2. We seek to equip the Turkish leaders of today who will be training up the leaders of tomorrow.
The main goal of this website is two-fold: maturity and ministry.
We have two basic values: high quality content and usefulness to the reader.
It is vitally important for church leaders to learn critical thinking as well how to express those thoughts. They must learn to be lovingly tolerant of divergent theological views and be able to evaluate said views from a biblical perspective. We hope that this journal will be a forum containing just such a constructive atmosphere.
e-manet began as a Turkish-language quarterly journal about the Bible and theology in 2003. 70 issues have been published approximately every three months over a period of 20 years. However, in order to serve our readers better, we chose to switch to a blog-style website in 2023, making it possible for us to present articles more frequently and to respond to the needs of the Church in Türkiye and Turkish-speaking churches around the world.
Because e-manet is prepared in Turkish for Turkish-speakers, this site and all of its content are only available in that language. Feel free to use the built-in translator in your browser to get an idea of what is being said. Be appraised, however, that these automated translators often have issues with theological language, so the sense of the original text will likely be obscured. This site can be a good resource to learn Turkish, especially the Turkish spoken by modern Christians in the country of Türkiye.
In order for e-manet to be effective, we need to hear our readers’ responses, desires and criticism. You can write these to irtibat@e-manetdergi.org.
